Goodwin Procter Announces Family Caregiver Benefit
In an effort to assist baby boomer employees who care for both aging parents and young children (often called ''The Sandwich Generation''), Goodwin Procter will offer a 24-hour telephone support center designed to answer questions about caring for the aging, elderly, and the disabled.

BCG News - 11/11/08

The center, staffed by geriatric social workers and registered nurses, will help Goodwin Procter employees navigate the complexities of coordinating disabled and elderly services that include housing, transportation, insurance, nutrition, and nursing care.

The goal is to reduce turnover and improve employee productivity, since the emotional stress of caring for aging parents negatively affects workplace performance.
