Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler appoints new partners
Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler, LLP, has selected three new partners and one counsel, effective January 1, 2006. The new partners are Lawrence P. Lenzner, Catherine Grevers Schmidt, and Sarah E. Zgliniec. Karen R. Berry will become counsel to the firm. This New York-based law firm has nearly 200 lawyers in more than 20 practice areas.

Curchack joins Loeb & Loeb
Walter Curchack has joined Loeb & Loeb, LLP, in the firm's corporate and bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditors' rights groups as a partner in the New York office. Previously, Curchack was a partner at Bryan Cave, LLP.

Chadbourne & Parke elevates two to partnership
Scott S. Balber and Robin D. Ball have been selected partners in the international law firm of Chadbourne & Parke, LLP. Balber is a member of the firm's litigation group in New York. Previously, Robin Ball worked with White & Case.

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer selects senior partners
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has selected two new senior partners: Konstantin Mettenheimer and Guy Morton. The firm has selected them for a term of five years.

Holland & Knight's New York office designates partners
One of the world's 15 largest firms, Holland & Knight, LLP , real estate, and private-wealth services.

Proskauer Rose re-opens New Orleans office
One of the nation's largest law firms, Proskauer Rose has re-opened its 13-lawyer New Orleans office, which had been closed since Hurricane Katrina. The firm's staff had temporarily relocated to Boca Raton, FL, and New York.

Flaster/Greenberg expands with Philadelphia office
Flaster/Greenberg is opening an office in Philadelphia with three partners and plans to grow the office to 10 lawyers by the end of January 2006. The Philadelphia office will house the firm's new intellectual property group, to be headed by Lynda Calderone, who joined the firm from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. Flaster/Greenberg also plans to open an office in northern Delaware in the second quarter of 2006.
