DC office seeking an associate with 3-5 years of experience relating to U.S. privacy and data security laws, with relevant work at a law firm or in government, at the Federal Trade Commission, U.S. Department of Justice, or a state Attorney Generals' office. International experience a plus, but not required. You will have significant responsibilities in our Washington, DC office and the opportunity to work with clients ranging from industry leaders to early-stage start ups, on cutting edge privacy, security and technology issues. We advise our clients on all aspects of compliance with privacy and data security laws, and represent them in Federal, State, and Congressional investigations. Experience with technology industries, issues lying at the intersection of government regulation and technology, or FTC/state AG enforcement regarding privacy and data security issues is desirable. Familiarity with computer, network, database, and web technologies is preferred. CIPP certification is a plus. Superior academic credentials and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are required.
