Seattle office of our client seeks environmental attorney with 1-4 years of experience. The candidate should have experience with federal and state environmental regulatory programs related to water and air quality, waste management, and contaminated site cleanups. Must have an interest in or experience with litigation and administrative law. Must have judicial clerkship experience. A government, scientific, engineering, consulting, or industry background is a plus. Membership in or willingness to join the Washington State Bar Association is a requirement.

Seattle office of our client seeks junior environmental attorney with 2+ years of experience in litigation. The candidate will occasionally travel locally, throughout Washington State, and out of state in order to accomplish legal work (depositions, discovery, client meetings, and appearances before courts) for the clients. Should have experience in one (and preferably more than one) of the following areas of environmental law: CERCLA/MTCA; Clean Water Act (enforcement, permitting and/or §401 certifications); water rights; SEPA/NEPA; nuisance claims arising from environmental contamination or practices; ESA; environmental insurance coverage; Clean Air Act; environmental permitting and/or permit violation defense; and FERC and/or EFSEC. Experience as the primary author of briefing for motions or participation in appellate briefing is preferred. Experience researching administrative law and regulatory requirements at the federal and state level is preferred. Experience of taking or defending depositions would be a plus. Law review experience is preferred. Clerkship experience is preferred. Billable hour expectation is 1850 billable hours a year. Must be admitted to practice in Washington State.
