Its practice areas are environmental, wealth strategies, labor and employment, real estate, banking and creditor?s rights litigation, energy, toxic and mass tort, intellectual property, tax and employee benefits, healthcare, product liability, medical malpractice and personal injury, government relations and policyholder and insurance coverage.
Kansas City office seeks patent agent with 3+ years of experience. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the computer and electronic arts. Will, under the supervision of lawyers, assume significant client responsibilities, provide high-quality services to domestic and foreign clients, and communicate with other practitioners and staff. Should have a Bachelor's of Science in computer engineering or electrical engineering. Admission before the USPTO is required. Must have related law firm and/or industry experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications. Should have experience working with one or more of the following: computer antivirus methods and systems, communications systems and networks, network security systems, email security, Internet and mobile technologies.
