McLean office of our client seeks chemical technical specialist/patent agent with 1-2 years of experience drafting chemical patent applications and assisting with drafting of opinions, as well as performing freedom-to-operate patent searches and literature searches. The candidate will provide support to partners and associates of the firm, specifically with researching and drafting legal opinions for clients, domestic and foreign patent preparation and prosecution, and patent office litigation matters. Must preferably have a Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, biochemistry or related field, and technical experience in pharmaceuticals, analytical chemistry, organic or inorganic synthesis, and/or pharmaceutical formulations.
