Portland office of our client seeks energy attorney with 3-4 years of experience. The candidate will be working on project development, project finance and/or mergers and acquisitions. Must have practical experience in reviewing, analyzing and negotiating major energy development contracts such as long term contracts, construction and interconnection agreements. Must be familiar with legal issues relating to the development, interconnection, and regulation of generation and merchant transmission, including: the structure and function of electricity markets and RTOs/ISOs; wholesale energy contracting; and federal law and FERC regulations and procedures governing independent generation and transmission. Maine Bar membership is required.
