Tucson office of our client seeks attorney with 3+ years of courtroom experience. The candidate will draft and prepare pleadings, responses, subpoenas, letters, proposed orders, disclosure, respond to discovery and perform legal research using findlaw/west law search engine, and to draft and prepare default, enforcement and show cause pleadings and responses. Will manage a paper and electronic file; input their time into a client billing system; meet with clients, direct the support staff and attend state court hearings and final trials. Must be familiar with the Arizona Statutes in the areas of law that the firm practices (or become knowledgeable of those areas within the first two months of being hired). Must be knowledgeable of the Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure. Federal practice experience is a plus. Must be currently licensed to practice law in the state of Arizona and must have been licensed to practice law for at least the preceding 5 years (if also licensed in Texas this is a plus), with 3 of those years being licensed in Arizona.
